Many families spend time here participating in or watching loved ones play soccer, tennis, or softball. Lasting memories are made in the bleachers and on the fields, which are lighted to make the fun last late into warm summer nights. There are also several grassy areas available for throwing around a frisbee, playing flag football, or simple games like tag. Two lighted bocce courts and horseshoes are located in the park as well.

Children of all ages love coming to Promontory Park to play. There are two covered play structures with nice places for parents to sit and watch their children. When the weather gets warm let the kids cool off in the Water Spray Ground. This feature is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day and provides tons of fun playing in the water. Kids can beat the heat splashing around in the insect themed spray park enjoying the shade under the giant butterfly, waiting for a bucket to dump out the water on their head, and running through the mist with friends.

The park is clean and well kept and provides many activities and amenities for all of your guests. There are restrooms in the park, which is a big plus especially because they are actually well kept. Be aware that the picnic area can be rented in advance Monday through Saturday but can only be used on a first come first served basis on Sundays. Prices are $80 for one rider, $145 for two riders, $215 for three riders, or $285 for four riders. Folsom Lake provides a beautiful backdrop for the trail rides.
